1.1 Construction of C41 Pneumatic Hammer
C41 Pneumatic Hammer consists of following principal parts: frame, working part, compressing part, driving part, controlling part, and lubricating part.

1. Frame is the body of the hammer, also the essential component part of the hammer. Frame is a unibody casting with working and compressing cylinders and valve chest. When operation, compressed air enters working cylinder from compressing cylinder, making tup move up and down to do work.
2. Working part is main part that does all the forging work. It consists of tup, guide, and anvil block. tup is made of 45# steel, in order to have enough strength and rated weight, and not deformed under durable operation, it is made of hollow shape with a hot fitted cover. Anvil block is primarily used for supporting work pieces and for blowing load exerted by the tup.
3. Compressing part is main component part of compression mechanism and is mounted in the compressing cylinder of the frame.
4. Driving part is used to convert the rotary movement of the motor into the reciprocating motion, causing piston to move up and down.
5. Controlling parts is to direct the compressed air flow from compressing cylinder to working cylinder so that several functions (Idle run, Top setting, Series blow (light blow and strong blow), Pressing down(press the forged parts tightly) andSingle blow) of the tup necessary for forging work can be attained.
